He liked to watch her sleep. She seemed to be the most at peace when she was sleeping. Nothing could harm her while she was dreaming---he wouldn't allow it. She didn't have anything she had to fight when she was sleeping. He chose to guard her against those demons. She'd be embarrassed if she knew he watched over her. This was why he always made sure to be back in his own rooms by the time she woke up.

He reached over and gently shook her. "Katzchen, wake up."

"Time to save the world again?" Kitty mumbled sleepily.

"Absolutely."
