She sighed softly as she made herself comfortable against his chest. He wrapped his arms around her and pressed her head back.

"I love you," she whispered in the darkness.

"I know, Katya. But that doesn't mean you have to grieve forever. You must wake."

"I don't want to lose you, to lose this."

"If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn. People die. But real love lives forever."

"I miss you, Peter," she whispered as she opened her eyes and met the morning.
