In The Bedroom
He wasn’t even sure how they made it to the bed, but suddenly there they were. Lips and hands broke contact only to remove clothes and send them flying. He hadn’t ever imagined that it would feel this good to be with her. He latched his lips onto her neck and when he heard her moan, he pulled her body closer to his. His hands explored the contours of her body as it fit so completely against his. As he held her, a groan came from his own throat to echo in the room. This was perfect. This was right.
Betrayal
He knew that his emotions were written all over his face. It wasn’t just the betrayal happening to him that had him upset. No, it was the realization that she had used him to hurt everyone else close to him. Abby had tried to tell him that something wasn’t right, but he hadn’t listened to her. Now, because of his blindness, they were in trouble – and Abby was fighting for him. He grabbed Abby, pulling her away from the battle to hold her close to him. He couldn’t allow her to be hurt by the one who had betrayed him.
The Forest Of Dean
It was the place that had been the focal point of so many changes in all of their lives. It was the last place a wife had been seen before the truth was revealed. It was where past betrayals were revealed and bonds were stretched or broken. It was where a good man died. It was where time changed in on itself and caused a woman to be removed from both existence and the memories of almost everyone who knew her. It was where Nick Cutter came once a month to lay a flower down in a very specific spot.
