They were well away from danger when Danny finally looked over at where Connor was sitting in the truck. Becker was shaking his head, so Danny cleared his throat.
“What exactly did you do to get all three of our girls so mad at you, Connor?”
“It was supposed to be fixed before they knew anything was wrong.”
Becker groaned.
“I had this idea where I could take the old machine and make it work so much better.”
Danny’s eyes widened. “You didn’t. Oh Connor, tell me that you honestly didn’t mess with their coffee!”
“Thanks for the rescue, mate.”
