Jealousy wasn’t an emotion that he had a lot of experience in dealing with. With him and Abby, he had only been jealous once before – and that was when he was worried that he was just being used as a convenient replacement for a dead man.
An altercation with the fist of her best mate and her reaction to finding that out had thrown that idea right out of his head. They may have originally met because of Stephen, but there was obviously a clear difference in what parts of Abby both he and Stephen possessed.
That being stated, he had never felt jealous of Connor or Danny until now.
Now, when he had spent the last few hours helping to put survival packs together for the three of them to go into the future and apprehend Helen Cutter.
Now, when he was giving them last minute advice and realizing that he was trusting Danny with the safety of the person who meant the world to him.
Now, when he had to stay behind as guard because he was the best trained soldier the ARC had and they couldn’t lose him.
Now, when he watched them disappear through the anomaly.
